Vitamins
A vitamin is an organic molecule that is an essential micro-nutrient
which an organism needed in small quantity for the proper functioning of
its metabolism.
• Essential nutrients cannot be synthesized in the organism, either at all or not in sufficient quantities, and therefore must be obtained through the diet.
• Vitamins have diverse biochemical functions.
• Vitamin B- 12 is one of the most important essential vitamin.

Types of vitamins
There are two main types of vitamins; 4 fat-soluble and 9 water-soluble vitamins, Water-soluble vitamins dissolve easily in water
1. Fat Soluble Vitamins
- Vitamin A, D, E, & K are classified as Fat soluble vitamins.
- Fat soluble vitamins dissolve in fat and can be stored in your liver and fatty tissue until needed.
- They keep your heart working properly to allowing your blood to clot.
2. Water Soluble Vitamins
- It include vitamin C and vitamin B complex.
- They dissolve in water.
- Vitamin A in it's Beta-Carotene form us also water soluble.
- Water soluble vitamins are generally not stored in the body.
